Honestly it’s not so much that I WANT a treasure planet live action and/or 3D realistically animated remake as that I’m still mad at how Disney basically kneecapped their own movie back when the original came out (by not marketing it properly, releasing it at a bad time, etc.). They didn’t want it to succeed, and they used it’s failure to justify no longer making movies like it. 

So it’s more like… I want them to acknowledge that it could have been profitable, that it WAS good and IS beloved, despite their best efforts. I don’t think a remake would be any good, but I feel that way about all the others too. At least a remake of treasure planet would be Disney subtly admitting that they were wrong to shaft the original.
